Belgium: Horrific Murder in Antwerp: Sentence Passed

An Antwerp court has sentenced Mohamed Kargbo (21)  to 30 years in prison for the murder and dismemberment of a Chinese sex worker in January 2023. The murder took place in the victim's apartment in the Antwerp district of Duerne. After killing the woman, he cut her body into pieces and placed part of the remains in a suitcase, which he left in the cellar of the apartment building. Other remains were found nearby in the cellar under a mattress.

In addition to the 30, Kargbo also received an additional 15 years of a special custody provision, under which (due to the nature of the crime and his danger to society), at the expiration of his 30-year sentence, he will be subject to continued custody or supervised release.

We are working on adding English subtitles to this video in the Dutch-language newspaper, Nieuwsblad.
