Sweden/Denmark: Is There a Connection Between Attacks Against Israeli Embassies in Stockholm and Copenhagen?

Suspect (L) in Copenhagen
-Gothenburg Post

Yesterday, we posted an article concerning shots fired at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm. Hours later, there were two explosions near the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen. Three young men from Sweden were arrested for the latter attack. Today, police suspect that both attacks were carried out by members of the Foxtrot Network, an organized criminal organization mostly based in Sweden and made up of immigrants from mostly Muslim countries. There is also suspicion that the acts were carried out on orders by Iran though this has not been yet proven.

The below article from Swedish State TV (SVT) is translated by Fousesquawk. I should note that the below article describes the suspects as Swedes. This is misleading. Though their identities have not been released, it is doubtful that they are indigenous Swedes. As is commonly practiced in Europe, authorities and the media prefer to conceal the fact that the perpetrators are immigrants from Muslim-majority countries. They may have Swedish citizenship, which makes it easy to identify them as Swedes. In the video in this article, Danish police also identify the three arrested suspects as Swedes. We are working on providing English subtitles for that video.

Details: Crimes against embassies in Stockholm and Copenhagen reportedly carried out on orders from Foxtrot

The crimes against the Israeli embassies in Stockholm and Copenhagen were reportedly carried out on orders from the Foxtrot Network, according to information to SVT.

This is also a hypothesis that the police reportedly have based on the (modus operandi).

On Tuesday evening, a shooting occurred at the Israeli embassy on Strandvägen (street) in Stockholm. The case is being investigated as an aggravated weapons violation causing danger to others, aggravated illegal threats, and damage (to property).

Shortly after that, during the hours of late Tuesday evening-early Wednesday morning, explosions occurred near the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen, which are believed to be caused by two hand grenades. Three young Swedish citizens have been arrested for involvement in the explosions in Copenhagen.

According to information to SVT, the crimes were reportedly carried out on the orders of the Foxtrot Network. This is also a hypothesis that police reportedly have-based on the (modus operandi).

Earlier accused

Within the Network, there are people who do not want to be associated with the events. When SVT contacted someone with connections to Foxtrot, he denied the group's involvement in the crime.

Foxtrot leader, Rawa Majid, was previously accused by Israeli intelligence services of carrying out violent actions against the Israeli embassy in Stockholm using his Network. This time too, the Foxtrot Network was alleged to be acting on orders from Iran, according to SVT's information.

SVT's crime reporter "Scope underestimated"

SVT's crime reporter, Sofia Yohannes, says that information shows a development in the Swedish gang environment.

Recently, many Swedes have carried out acts of violence or murders for hire abroad.

"I believe that we have underestimated the scope of the Network and their contacts. The leadership may have contacts with high-ranking persons around the world," she says.

*Update 10-2-2024. One of the suspects arrested in Copenhagen is believed to have also shot at the embassy in Stockholm several hours earlier and then taken a train to Copenhagen where he took part in the explosions at the Israeli embassy.
