Taher Herzallah Wins Coveted Award

I am cross-posting a current article by Stop Anti-Semitism.org that features their "Anti-Semite of the Week", a  character by the name of Taher Herzallah. This charming fellow (it is my understanding he is Palestinian-American) is an official with American Muslims for Palestine, a group co-founded by UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian to function as a support group for Students for Justice in Palestine, another odious bunch co-founded by Bazian. Herzallah, Bazian, and the above-mentioned groups are all engaged in a campaign to destroy the Jewish state of Israel. Their tactics in the US are disruption and intimidation.

The first time I saw Herzallah, it was 2010 at the University of California at Irvine, when he and ten other characters loudly disrupted the speech of Michael Oren, then-Israeli ambassador to the US. It was just another in a series of incidents over the years that have brought disrepute to UCI, a university that otherwise would enjoy a sterling academic reputation.

In 2012, Herzallah returned to UCI with a few of his subsequently convicted co-defendants for a speaking appearance, who hail themselves to this day as the "Irvine 11" or some such rot. Herzallah and the others proudly proclaimed that they would do it all over again.

The last I heard of Herzallah, he was pulling a similar prank at the US Capitol in 2017 during confirmation hearings for President Trump's choice as US Ambassador to Israel. He stood up with a Palestinian flag and began screaming before the gendarmes quickly whisked him away.

In other words, Herzallah is a professional disruptor. It's what he does. What an impressive resume he can take to his future job interviews.

So now, Stop Anti-Semitism.org has selected Herzallah as their anti-Semite of the Week. Congratulations. I wonder if he will add that to his CV. (It appears he neglected to include his "Irvine 11" and Capitol disruption as part of his resume on his Linkedin page. On the other hand, most people don't include their arrest history on their resumes, do they?)
