Portugal: It's the Gypsies Against the Africans

Hat tip Totalitarismo Universalista (Pt). Translation by Fousesquawk.

With all the turmoil in Western Europe dealing with refugees, asylum-seekers, and various migrants, you hear much about Portugal. Due to its colonial past in Africa and elsewhere, they do have African and Brazilian immigrant communities, united by the Portuguese language, which the Portuguese colonialists and seafarers spread widely. In fact, Portuguese is a much more important international language than commonly given credit for. In addition to Brazil, it is the official language of several former African Portuguese colonies, such as Mozambique, Cabo Verde, and Angola, just to name a few.

And like most European countries, Portugal also has Gypsies. All that is OK. What is not OK is that some of these communities are plagued by criminal gangs. The city of Braga has been hit with at least three gang-related shootings since last September, and residents of terrified. This war is between Gypsies and Africans. On Sunday, a Mozambican man was attacked by a group of unidentified suspects and shot in the leg close to the University of Minho. It appears to be in retaliation for previous shootings in March and last September.

Another shootout a vibrant exchange of benefits between Africans and Gypsies!

Two points to highlight: (1) This did not happen in greater Lisbon, it was right in Braga, the capital of Minho; (2) The conflicts between the two "rival groups" began 6 months ago, and there doesn't seem to be any end. But continue to sleep, Portuguese. Nothing is happening....
