The victim: Jessica Doty Whitaker (24) "All lives matter"

Believe it or not, I had to learn about this incident by reading a conservative Swedish news site (Fria Tider). On July 5. in Indianapolis, a young white mother was shot to death by a black person or persons unknown after she said, "All lives matter" to them. Fria Tider linked to an article by Gateway Pundit. Shockingly (or maybe not), this case has received scant attention from the US media.

The hypocrisy is self-evident. Had this been a white-on-black murder, the media would be all over it, and people like Al Sharpton would be marching in Indianapolis and speaking at funerals. But you will not see Sharpton anywhere near Indianapolis.
How constructive it would be if responsible black leaders (which Al Sharpton is not) did go to Indianapolis and condemn this senseless act. Certainly, it would help calm any anti-black backlash because reasonable people do not blame all black people for the crimes of the criminal element. But this needs to be part of the "frank discussion on race" we hear so many people calling for.
Black Lives Matter (the organization) is an increasingly radical, increasingly racist, and increasingly anti-Semitic group that shrewdly chose a benign-sounding name. Yet, even the phrase, "black lives matter" is taking on an increasingly ominous connotation as this latest incident illustrates.
