Politics Dutch Style

Hat tip RAIR Foundation and Vlad Tepes. Translation by Fousesquawk.

If you think the Republicans and Democrats are bitter enemies, consider this: Tenuhan Kuzu is the leader of the DENK party in the Netherlands, which basically represents Turks and other Muslims. It is aligned with the Turkish government under Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Back in 2018, Kuzu made a statement on video that any Dutch people who were not happy with the presence of immigrants living in their communities could literally "fu-- off".

To which Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom, and a fierce opponent of Muslim immigration, replied on Twitter:

"Mijn boodschap aan Kuzu, Denk en alle andere Erdogan-lovers: snel optiefen naar Turkije!"
(My message to Kuzu, DENK, and all other Erdogan-lovers: Fu-- off fast to Turkey!)

In all honesty, I don't think the Dutch people resent having "others" living in their midst per se. For generations, they have had substantial numbers of Indonesians, Surinamese, and Antilleans from colonies, present and former, living, studying, and working in the Netherlands without much problem. They do have a right to object to the crime that many Moroccan and Turkish immigrants have brought to their country. They do have a right to object when large numbers of the Turkish community are aligning themselves with Erdogan or becoming radicalized in their Islamic beliefs. This is what Kuzu fails to mention. For him to dismiss them by telling them to "fu-- off" is the height of arrogance.

And in case you are wondering, Kuzu and Wilders have not reconciled since 2018.
