Sweden: One Third of ISIS Returnees Involved in Violent Crime

Hat tip Fria Tider

The conservative Swedish news outlet, Fria Tider (Free Times) has just published the results of a study by SVT (Swedish TV- News) regarding ISIS fighters who return to Sweden. Believe it or not, the Swedish government actually attempts to reintegrate these terrorists back into Swedish society rather than lock them up. The results have not been positive.

Every third of IS returnees commits crime in Sweden

Domestic. Approximately every third returning IS terrorist has been involved in crime since having returned to Sweden, an investigation done by SVT News shows.

About 150 IS terrorists who traveled to Syria and Iraq have returned to Sweden and another similar number may try to return.

SVT has succeeded in charting 41 of those who have already returned.

About one third of these, 13 men, have been convicted of or are suspected of (committing) crimes after having returned.

That concerns among others lynchings (murders) in Vivalla and Orebro last summer, when a large group of immigrants attacked a man and a when 31-year-old so-called "returnee" finally killed the person with scissors.

The 31-year-old is believed to have returned wounded from Syria.

He is now suspected of murder and has admitted that he hit the victim in the head but not to kill him. The returning IS-terrorist is believed to have cut the victim 7 times in the face. The background was a deal between rival criminals.

- I have saved people. I should get an award, the 31-year-old said under questioning according to Expressen. IS-returnees have also been convicted for among others, drug offenses, thefts, gross receiving, fraud, gross extortion, gross assault and money laundering.

Twelve of the studied returnees are women, but none of them have been convicted for anything.
