Just when you thought Juan Cole was the only idiot teaching at the University of Michigan, along comes John Cheney-Lippold, who refused to write a letter of recommendation for a student to study overseas. The reason, and the only reason, was that the student wanted to study in, no, not N Korea, but Israel.
