"It is apparent from his statements that he believes that in the Netherlands, the Prophet Muhammad, the Quran, Islam and Allah are repeatedly insulted," prosecutors said, noting that the Afghan man specifically mentioned Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders, who is known for his fierce anti-Islam rhetoric.
"From the suspect's statements so far, it is clear the man had a terrorist motive ... and that he traveled to the Netherlands for that reason," the prosecutors said.
The 19-year-old Afghani suspect who stabbed two Americans this past week at the Amsterdam train station did so because the Netherlands "insults Muslims" according to his statement to Dutch police.

The Netherlands is clearly at risk for further attacks. Perhaps, Geert Wilders' outspoken criticism of Islam and Muslim immigration is the main cause. If so, that does not justify stabbing people at will. Perhaps, the attacker is motivated by the country's refusal to allow a Turkish cabinet minister to come to Rotterdam and speak on behalf of Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan's policies during a Turkish election.
Last week, the Dutch police arrested a Pakistani male who had traveled to the country with the intent of assassinating Wilders. All of this proves Wilders' case. Criticize Islam, which is supposed to be guaranteed under the free speech laws of any democracy, and Muslims will come after you with intent to kill. They will come from uncivilized countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan. As we speak, the Dutch embassy in Islamabad is under threat.
This past week's event in the Netherlands proves that Wilders is 100% correct.
No, he's one percent correct. Given the availability of modern air travel, crazies can now come from all over the world to wherever their target is. But most Muslims haven't bothered.
