Hat tip Campus Reform
"He, she, ze, ey. What the ferk am I ?"
We conservatives like to laugh about how academics are trying to change the English language when it comes to pronouns. Instead of gender-specific words like he or she, there is a growing movement in academia to use new words that nobody ever heard of, like "ze", "ve" or "ey", just to name a few since we have so many genders these days.
Now the University of Minnesota (home of the Golden Gophers-another non-existent entity) is considering actual punishments for students and professors who fail to use the "correct" pronouns. Proposed punishments could go as far as expulsion or firing.

"The university explains that the document is needed to further support “transgender and gender nonconforming” individuals on campus and to “maintain an environment for University members that is free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on gender identity and gender expression.”
When I was learning Spanish in school, I had enough problems learning pronouns; yo, Usted. el, ella, ellos, ellas, vosotros, Ustedes, nosotros). Imagine if this movement ever extended to Spanish.
I'd better stop here before I give somebody any ideas.
Why should anyone support transgender and gender nonconforming students? Who cares?
