Having had a life-long association with Asian-Americans in Southern California and three years living in Thailand, I have always been interested in the Asian-American community. In addition, having taught part-time at the University of California at Irvine, where some 50+ % of the students are Asian-American, I have nothing but admiration for their academic excellence.
Unfortunately, the ability of Asian-American kids to get into college and do well there is not appreciated by everybody. I am referring to the affirmative action crowd, many of whom would like to see a reduction in Asian_American students. Perhaps, they also see the fallacy of their arguments that in the year 2018, affirmative action is still needed for non-white students to succeed academically. That is the subject of the below article in The Federalist by David Marcus.
