While CNN and other mainstream media continue to beat the dead horse that is the Trump-Russia collusion case and focus attention on Stormy Daniels, FACTS continue to come out about how the Obama administration used our intelligence services, the FBI and the FISA court to abuse the rights of American citizens including candidate Trump. Now we learn that the cabal in the FBI that was trying to destroy Trump during the election and protect Hillary Clinton from her emails scandal even had a buddy on the FISA court, Judge Rudy Contreras. And he's the guy that took the Michael Flynn guilty plea!!
I can just picture the scene in the courtroom:
Contreras: "Hey Pete! What are you doing here?"
StrzoK: "Just hangin' out. Let's get a beer after work."
Talk about conflict of interest.
And now, with only a couple of days before he could officially retire, FBI executive Andrew McCabe has been fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Not surprisingly, the New York Times has celeverly masked opinion as just straight factual reporting in the form of this article today by Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman. Not a word about McCabe's transgressions. Not a word about how he and Peter Strzok and Lisa Page likely obstructed justice both in Clinton's favor and against a presidential candidate and his associates. Not a word about how the FISA court was used to get a wiretap on Carter Page based on a discredited report by Christopher Steele, whose "investigation" was bought and paid for by the DNC and the Clinton campaign. According to Apuzzo and Goldman, McCabe is a victim, a latter day Joan of Arc being burned at the stake by the Justice Department in order to save Trump. He's being fired over a "lack of candor". No, he is being fired because he apparently lied to investigators and violated the rights of others.
"McCabe was fired just days before he would have been eligible for a lifetime pension after it was determined that he lied to investigators reviewing the bureau’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s email server."
As a retired DEA agent, it is easy to feel sympathy for a federal agent fired days before his/her retirement. Gone is the pension and other benefits. It's an extreme move, but if it has been determined that McCabe lied to investigators or participated in obstruction of justice, such measures are merited.
Of course, as always, Trump doesn't do his case any good by his tweets and comments attacking the FBI and people like McCabe. Yes, he was the intended victim, but he should stay above the fray. His comments can only further complicate this already messy legal affair.
Final point: Robert Mueller's investigation has been compromised beyond repair. Not only is he investigating the wrong case, he is relying on tarnished witnesses, and like those around him has a conflict of interest. He should close his case, step down, and let the real culprits be investigated.
Brennan and Holder probably got their marching orders from Community Organizer and Chief, plus Jarrett in the DC home office, to trash Trump. It was the FBI peers who decided to recommend (with the IG's information) that McCabe be fired for lying to them and tampering with Federal investigations. Of course the KGB MSM has had their broadcast time to do the same.
