I usually disagree with you, Fouse, but I think on this one we're probably in agreement.
Although I'm surprised that you didn't notice how this article linked the attack to Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. That's outrageous. Even if a person is 100% in disagreement with Trump's decision, that does NOT excuse this in any way. The attackers are solely to blame for their actions.
Well, shame on you if you couldn't agree with me on this one. I must admit the reason I left out mention of the Trump decisions is because events were moving so fast in Europe, and I was swamped with posting (Malmo, London). On the Malmo incident, I was busy translating Swedish articles into English.
You don't have to be a supporter of Israel to be disgusted by the obvious Jew hatred behind this.
Ironically enough, it's also anti-Muslim (as in, against Muslims as people as opposed to Islam as an ideology) as it implies that the only way that they can respond to something that they don't like is through violence.
I think that this is what George W. Bush meant by the "soft bigotry of low expectations".
