Syrian refugee didn't know it was against Canadian law to beat your wife with a hockey stick and threaten to kill her.

For those of you who want to open the floodgates to Syrian "refugees", here is yet another example of what we can expect. A Syrian man, Mohamad Rafia, beat his wife with a hockey stick for 30 minutes threatening to kill her back on May 26. Apparently, the negligent Canadians failed to explain to him that it is against Canadian law.He has been sentenced to time served and a year probation.
Ironically, Rafia had starred in a documentary lauding Canada's open door policy.

At least the man shows signs of assimilation into Canadian society. He is a hockey enthusiast.
