For a two-year community college, Orange Coast College in Southern California has a lot of problems. Back in November, a professor went on a rant in class telling her students that the election of President Trump was an "act of terrorism". A conservative student videotaped it and sent it viral. In retaliation, OCC suspended the student then reinstated him after a national outcry.
Now a black professor, Jessica Alabi, has barred members of the campus Republican club from attending a panel on African-American women. A complaint has been filed.

“I just want everyone to be advised that the African American female students had and still have an expectation that this is a safe space event. If the college will not stand up to the Republican club, I have decided to stand up for myself and other students,” Alabi stated.
I recall some "safe spaces" from back in the 1950s when I was just a kid.

Segregation was wrong then. It is wrong now.
