Mizzou: The Price of an Out of Control Campus
The University of Missouri is paying the price for the Black Lives Matter protests that rocked the campus in late 2015 and 2016. Students are going elsewhere and the bottom line is suffering.

The question is why Mizzou and not other places like UC Berkeley? On the one hand, perhaps parents decided there was no worth in spending big bucks at a place where journalism and communications professors like Melissa Click (pictured above) didn't know the first thing about the first amendment. On the other hand, as much as I hate to speculate on this, perhaps the added racial component of the Mizzou protests have scared some parents and students away.
Whatever it is, this should be a warning to universities. Those astronomical tuitions that families pay are to educate their children. Nothing else. Until universities begin to clean up their act, I hope this is the beginning of a trend.
