Rotterdam Update
Last night, the Turkish minister of family and social affairs was blocked by Dutch police from proceeding to the Turkish consulate in Rotterdam where she had planned to give a speech urging her countrymen in the Netherlands to vote in favor of a constitutional referendum that would give Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended powers. Her convoy was turned around and she was deported back into Germany, from where she had entered by auto after being denied landing rights in the Netherlands.
Hundreds of Turks gathered in front of the consulate and had to be dispersed with water cannons.
The Mirror has lots of pictures.
And below: Horses, dogs and street cleaning, as well as harsh words for Turkey from Geert Wilders. (Hat tip Smartrmelon)
