For a man who is reputed to be one of the nation's foremost Constitutional experts, UC Irvine Law School Dean Erwin Chemerinksy seemingly has a weak knowledge when it comes to what constitutes perjury. In his weekly blather in the Orange County Register, Chemo tells us a special prosecutor is needed in the Sessions-Russian probe. He also states unequivocally that Sessions lied before Congress about his meetings with the Russian ambassador.

A fact not in evidence, Counselor. Sessions met the ambassador in his Senate office per the ambassador's request, and he said there was no conversation about the election. The other "meeting" was when Sessions spoke before the Heritage Foundation and the ambassador was present.
I wonder if Chemo thinks a special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate the claims that the Obama administration wiretapped members of Trump's campaign. The NY Times thought it happened on January 20 -until they didn't think so when Trump made the accusation.
It's all selective with Chemo-who is supposed to be one of the greatest Constitutional experts in the land. Yet he has no clue as to what is required to prove a case of perjury, which involves a clear showing of intent to lie.
