Robert Reich Blames the Right for Last Night's Riot at UCB

" There are rumors."

UC Berkeley professor and former labor secretary Robert Reich appeared on CNN's Don Lemon's show tonight and implied that the rioters at UC Berkeley last night were not students, but outside agitators. He said that "he heard" that right-ringers were responsible. Lemon referred to Milo Yiannopoulos as a white supremacist.

I will agree that many of the rioters were probably outside agitators. However, Reich is really sticking his neck out by trying to shift blame for the violence to the right. He has no evidence for that other than "he heard" some people say it was right-wing people trying to discredit UCB's reputation for free speech.

I'll post the video as soon as CNN puts it up. Below, Raw Story has a write up on the show.

Be careful, Professor. You keep up with that story and people will start calling you Robert Reichstag-as in the Reichstag fire of 1933.
