Troubling Reports Coming in on Khizr Khan
As the mainstream media shines a friendly spotlight on Khizr Khan, whose son, Captain Humayun Khan, was killed fighting in Iraq in 2004, new facts are arising that put a different light on Mr Khan.
It has been revealed that Mr Khan specializes in helping wealthy people from places like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan get E-2 and EB5 green cards for themselves and their families under investment programs that have come under fire for buying residency permits.

In addition, Mr Khan has also done a fair bit of writing on Islamic issues drawing on questionable sources and even stating that all other forms of law must be subordinated to sharia law.

"Khan continues to write. “All other juridical works which have been written during more than thirteen centuries are very rich and indispensable, but they must always be subordinated to the Shari’ah and open to reconsideration by all Muslims.”

Last night, CNN's Anderson Cooper interviewed Mr Khan and asked him about the latter allegation. Mr Khan's answer was confusing but he basically made some sort of statement that sharia law was "non-existent." Unfortunately, what CNN and the rest of the media are focusing on is the part of the interview where Mr Khan blasts Donald Trump for accepting a Purple Heart from a wounded veteran and not serving in the military himself.

Let's be clear: Captain Khan died as a hero and his parents deserve sympathy as do the parents of all our military personnel killed in combat. Mr Khan, however, has opened himself up to scrutiny by his constant public attacks on Trump, which are receiving wide play in the media. He is now a public figure for better or worse.
