New University (UC Irvine) Article on Yiannopoulos Event

I am cross-posting the New University's article on the Milo Yiannopoulos event at UC Irvine last night.

Here is my comment in the reader thread and awaiting moderation.

I was unable to get into the event but watched the protests. Those who oppose this young man should come in and listen to him. They could have asked questions during the q and a.
They might even have learned something. Like the young man who was shouting, “Go home white boy” at the pro-Milo crowd. It’s unfortunate that crowds on both sides have to shout chants at each other.
Is there any room for intellectual diversity at UCI – or any other college?
Except for the obvious Israeli-Palestinian problem, which has divided Jews and Muslims in many cases, I have not seen division on this campus. Is that where UCI is going now? Different ethnic groups insulting each other over political issues? I hope not.
