Hat tip Campus Reform
"I need a safe space."
It looks like the "Trump 2016 Night Riders" have struck at the University of Michigan. Pro-Trump chalk messages have appeared on the campus, and as usual, everyone is hunkered down and in a tizzy.

“Attacks directed toward any member or group within the University of Michigan community, based on a belief or characteristic, are inconsistent with our values of respect, civility and equality,” he said in the statement. “We all understand that where speech is free it will sometimes wound. But our message is this: We are fully committed to fostering an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of everyone. Tonight we are reminded there is much work yet to be done.”
"Yee gads!"
Where have I read that before?
Oh yeah. Every time one of these incidents happens, real or imagined. I think it's off some national academic template or something.
Now I know why the football team wears helmets with those yellow stripes down the back.
"Let's all go find a safe space."
If you can't look Donald Trump in the eye and tell him what's wrong with him, no safe space can protect you. What if Jews said Hitler made them nervous and they needed a safe space? Come to think of it, he found them one. Only it wasn't safe.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem is that once these cupcakes leave college, there is no more safe space out there in the real world.
ReplyDeleteThey'll find that out... the hard way, if necessary.
