Jasbir Puar Will Sue Who?

Uh, that would be anyone who publishes a transcript of her anti-Semitic speech at Vassar

Rutgers University professor Jasbir Puar, who recently gave a speech at Vassar loaded with anti-Jewish invective and blood libels is now threatening to sue anyone who publishes a transcript of her remarks.

Here is another dumb academic (No, that's not a contradiction in terms.) who thinks she can appear in public and speak at a public event, but nobody can record her or in this case publish a transcript of what she said. I note in the attached article that the presenter requested no taping while adding that people could legally do so.

Well, Puar will just have to learn the hard way, I guess.

This reminds me of last year when that joke of a professor from San Francisco State University, Rabab Abdulhadi, came to speak at UC Irvine on behalf of the Muslim Student Union during anti-Israel hate week. (Or did she really come?) As we waited for Abdulhadi to appear from behind the curtain, the MSU told the audience they could not videotape. It took Dean Edgar Dormitorio 30 minutes to explain to them that I had a right to videotape and they would not prevent me from videotaping. Once that was finished, Abdulhadi never materialized. We wound up watching a Skype interview with some Palestinian guy in Washington who was smoking a cigarette and blowing smoke into the camera.

As for Puar's anti-Semitic rant at Vassar, if I see the transcript on the Internet, I will post it here. Puar may have the Constitutional right to spew her hatred, but she does not have the right to suppress others from reporting on it.
