Siraj Wahhaj

The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California is (yawn) having yet another fund raising dinner, and yes, old standby Siraj Wahhaj, is coming back to SoCal as speaker. He is being joined by Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison on February 27 in Garden Grove.

Here is my question: If Ellison is such a moderate Muslim, why would he appear together with a man (Wahhaj) who appeared as a defense witness in the trial of the Blind Sheikh, convicted terrorist Omar Abdel Rahman? Why would Ellison appear with a man (Wahhaj) who is on tape referring to America as a "filthy garbage can"?
