Happy New Year in France

There is good news coming out of France. Only 804 cars were torched over New Years Eve in France, a 14.5% reduction from the previous New Years Eve total of 940.

"804 véhicules ont été incendiés dans la nuit du 31 décembre au 1er janvier contre 940 en 2014, soit une diminution de 14,5%, annonce Bernard Cazeneuve."

804 vehicles were burned in the night of 31 December to the 1st of January as compared to 940 in 2014, which is a reduction of 14.5%, announced Bernard Cazenueve.


"Ah wunnerful, ah wunnerful, ah."

Yes, it is. Car burning on New Years Eve is a recent tradition in France thanks to the cultural enrichment of their Middle Eastern and North African immigrants. Sorry, but it is a fact. Of course, car burning is the least of the French worries these days.
