David Horowitz's Freedom Center has addressed a letter to the administrators of ten universities identified as the top ten campuses in the country for anti-Semitic activity. The letter asks them to withdraw recognition from the Muslim Student Association and Students for Justice in Palestine due to their roles in creating a hostile environment for Jewish students and active support for acts of violence against Israelis in Israel. Worse yet, the letter accuses these organizations of being "mouthpieces for an ideology of genocide".

I note that one of the universities mentioned is (once again) the University of California at Irvine, where I have taught part-time in the UCI Extension since 1998. Over the years. I have been witness to the events sponsored by the Muslim Student Union and SJP.
I fully support this letter. It is timely in that it coincides with efforts to get the University of California to address the problem of anti-Semitism on campus. These efforts have been reported here in the past couple of months as the UC Regents attempt to draft a meaningful statement of principles on intolerance that specifically addresses anti-Semitism.
I will be most interested to see how UCI responds to this letter.
