The Madness at Yale Goes on

Hat tip Legal Insurrection

* Note: In drafting this, I originally included references to the controversy at the University of Missouri, where the president has just resigned over alleged racism at the school. However, reading further into the story, at least one of the incidents appears well-documented. I have doubts over whether the problems at Missouri merited the president's resignation, but since further research is warranted, I have deleted the references to the Missouri case.

A few days ago, I posted a story about how certain Halloween costumes had provoked sheer madness at Yale University when a faculty member suggested students should not get so upset over said Halloween costumes.

Legal Insurrection has more on the nuttery going on at Yale. Now the president of the university is walking around in sackcloth and ashes and telling the students, "We have failed you." (Be sure and check out the video on Safe Space University.)

First of all, the president of Yale is a total wimp. Second, it is hard to feel any pity for Yale. This is the culture they have created, and now it's a case of the chickens coming home to roost. Yale, like most all universities, has staffed its faculty (at least in the humanities) with America-hating radicals who teach their students that America is a racist, imperialistic country with no redeeming characteristics. What do they expect?

Where in this country of ours is there a university president with the balls to stand up and tell students to grow up and stop acting like victims?

Think of it: Every future president of the United States is walking through these halls of ivy. Will we have a president one day who is hunkered down hiding under his or her desk in the Oval Office in search of a "safe space"? (In terms of foreign policy, we already do.)

It is getting to the point when the best advice you could give a high school student is to learn a trade and get out there in the real world.
