"University of California Not a Welcoming Place For Jewish Students"

That's what UC Santa Cruz Professor of Hebrew Tammi Rossman-Benjamin says in a hard-hitting editorial in the Santa Cruz Sentinel

"In the past few years Jewish UC students have reported being harassed, assaulted, threatened, vilified and discriminated against, their property defaced and destroyed, and their events disrupted and shut down."

On September 15-17, the UC Regents will be holding their meeting at UC Irvine. This will be an excellent opportunity to hold their feet to the fire.  Will they adopt the State Department's definition of anti-Semitism?  Or will they simply pass some vague, general resolution against bias and bigotry in all its forms?

Stay tuned.
