Below is the report on yesterday's UC Regents meeting from the AMCHA Initiative. Two our their leaders, Tammi Rossman-Benjamin and Leila Beckwith flew down from Santa Cruz and Tammi addressed the regents. The below release from AMCHA highlights the regents' comments and includes several press articles about the event.

If the comments from those regents who spoke out have any meaning, this is a defeat for the pro-Palestinian advocates who wanted the UC proposed statement of principles on intolerance to remain
as it was-with no specific reference to anti-Semitism and no adoption of the State Department definition of anti-Semitism. In the end, they may prevail on the latter point, but I am cautiously optimistic they will not prevail on the former. I think it is safe to say there will be changes in the statement. Just how many remains to be seen. There will be months more of fighting ahead. The above link enables you to send your comments to the regents as they deliberate this issue. There is also a video of the event.
