Scholars for Peace in the Middle East has sent me a copy of a letter they have co-written with several other organizations to the University of California regents in conjunction with this week's regents' meeting at UC Irvine. The letter is to express their displeasure with a proposed university statement of principles on campus intolerance. The statement reportedly is broad, general, and does not mention anti-Semitism.

It is so ironic that the university will tie itself into knots over perceived bias against certain groups and ignore the most serious form of bias that exists on our campuses-anti-Semitism.
