"Miss me yet?"
Bring back Jay Carney!
White House press secretary Josh Earnest, who admitted he hasn't seen the Planned Parenthood videos, nonetheless called them fraudulent during his daily press briefing. His source? Planned Parenthood.
Eagle Rising has the hilarious report.
As for the charge that the videos have been edited, of course they have. What we see on Fox News is edited lest we have to sit through a two hour video in a one hour time slot. The imnportant point is that the Center for Medical Progress has posted the compltee unedited videos for anyone who cares to view them in their entirety. That was apparently lost to the official White House press spokeshole, Josh Earnest.
Press secretarys should be abolished. They serve no purpose except to make off the cuff remarks on behalf of an office that doesn't have time to look into the matter and probably has no business commenting on it at all.
ReplyDeletePress secretaries exist because an oversupply of reporters wants a quotable quote on every subject under the sun and they want it now. It is true that the President of the United States has more important things to do than to feed the press with quotable quotes... but no press secretary should do it for them either.
ReplyDeleteeveryone who has viewed the complete unedited videos has reported that the edits are highly misleading, and the full video provides no evidence that any crime was committed.
