CAIR Official Visits White House

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

Hassan Shibley is a high-ranking CAIR official in Florida. Coincidentally, I posted a piece on Shibley just last month.

Even setting Shibley aside, the White House has no business inviting anybody from CAIR. This organization is still listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas that involved Islamic charity money being diverted to terrorist organizations. The FBI broke off contact with CAIR a few years ago. This is the same organization whose San Francisco director, Zahra Billoo, put out fliers that encouraged American Muslims not to talk to the FBI and to slam their doors on them. In addition, CAIR has documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt.

And these people get invited to the White House?

Not quite sure that is True.

Remember also that the Bush Administration also said that Saddam Hussein's Iraq was building WMD's.

  2. Better check your garlic, anonymous. Judge Solis affirmed the designation.

  3. Judge Solis' ruling was on July 1st, 2009.

The Federal Appeals court ruling happened in Nov 2010.

Plus Appeals Court rulings overide the rulings of lower Federal judges.

  5. Way to Miss the Point Gary.

"You see, the courts did NOT decide that CAIR or its fellow-terrorist-travelers are not actually terrorists or not actually terrorist enablers."

Robert Spencer is committing a logical fallacy, and a bait and switch.

Whether or not CAIR has had any links to terrorism is not what is at debate. The issue is whether CAIR was unjustly listed as a conspirator in a particular terror funding case.

It is possible that CAIR has links to terrorism just as it is possible that Robert Spencer is a child rapist (he is a part time Catholic clergyman).

Someone needs to remind Mr. Spencer that in America one in Innocent Until Proven Guilty.
