Tax-Payer-Funded BDS on Campus

Hat tip Jew Hatred on Campus and Breitbart

Since campus-recognized student groups get university funding, this comes as no surprise. Students for Justice in Palestine, one of the most divisive student groups in America, a group that engages in despicable tactics, gets some of its funding for its anti-Israel activities from the university. In the case of public universities, that means YOU the taxpayer.

  1. Last I recall, this sort of funding comes from "student fees," not from taxpayers. How do I know? There were a number of public complaints and court cases filed by students who personally disagreed with how some portion of "my fees" were being allocated.

I think it would be a fine idea to either allow recognized campus organizations to raise money by a kind of check-off at time of registration... check off any organization you would like to fund and how much you would like added to your tuition and fee bill to supply the funding. Very democratic, eh what?

Why bother with even that? Well, recognized campus organizations raising money on campus should be subject to some basic bookkeeping procedures, and the money would at least be subject to university regulation.
