At least he wished he had. Had he done so, he might have survived Watergate. That lesson was not lost on young Hillary Rodham, who has gone on in life to make Nixon look like a choir boy. She actually cut her teeth as a legal aide for the Democrats who were digging up the evidence against Nixon. So now, 40 years later, it appears Hillary has destroyed the evidence that might have put an end to her sordid public career. According to Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), Hillary has erased her e-mail server.

Nixon would be proud.
"That's my girl!"
This Business Insider blurb (link below) states in part:
ReplyDelete"While it is not clear precisely when Secretary Clinton decided to permanently delete all emails from her server, it appears she made the decision after October 28, 2014, when the Department of State for the first time asked the Secretary to return her public record to the Department," Gowdy said.
"The committee had issued a broad subpoena to Clinton asking for her communications related to the attack. In his statement, Gowdy noted the committee did not receive additional emails from Clinton even after her team asked for a two week extension on his subpoena".
This would appear to indicate that she quite possibly, more likely probably/almost certainly, destroyed documents which were actually under subpoena.
There are legal terms for such activity/behavior, which is felonious in and of itself.

As Hitler told the generals in the bunker.
ReplyDeleteNo problem. We'll just subpoena Clinton.com for the records showing when she erased the server.
Well, the plot sickens--er, thickens. Daily Caller and others have pointed out (http://news.yahoo.com/did-hillary-scrub-her-private-server-sometime-month-022005414.html) that Hill used the present tense in her March 10 press conference when referring to her server and messages thereon:
ReplyDelete“The server contains personal communications from my husband and me,” Clinton said. “And I believe I have met all my responsibilities and the server will remain private, and I think the State Department will be able over time to release the records that were provided.”
Unless Hill is playing around with words, as both Bill and his atttorney did with the meaning of "is", it would seem apparent that the server and the messges/other documentation were still extant as of that date, and were wiped/destroyed sometime thereafter.
Since DOJ will not prosecute either Lerner or Holder for their contempt citations, and would similarly not prosecute Hill for hers, it would be monkey motion for the Congress to find her in "ordinary" contempt.
May be time to resurrect statutory "inherent contempt" proceedings??
