Last Sunday, NYPD Officer Wenjian Liu was laid to rest. FBI Director James Comey, who spoke at the funeral service representing the Obama administration, said that he was shocked and bewildered at the high number of police officers murdered in 2014.

Perhaps, "shocked" is not the right word. The number may be shockingly high, but given the poisoned atmosphere, maybe not so bewildering.
In the wake of the Ferguson, Missouri case, coupled with the Eric Garner case, we have seen shocking irresponsibility from a lot of people. First and foremost is the New Black Panther Party led by Malik Zulu Shabazz, a former Howard University law student, who went to Ferguson and led chants of, "What do we want?" (Response: "Darren Wilson") "How do we want him?" (Response: "Dead.")
Then there was Al Sharpton, hardly rested from his efforts to convict George Zimmerman in Florida. He also went to Ferguson and stoked the fires. In addition, there was the Congressional Black Caucus weighing in with their judgment. All in all, it mattered little that a grand jury heard the testimony, saw the evidence, and made the only reasonable decision-not to indict Officer Darren Wilson. The evidence indicated that Wilson truly acted in self defense. Another riot ensued and Wilson today has resigned and is living in hiding.
Then came the Garner case and a similar decision by a New York grand jury not to indict. The calls for blood reached a crescendo. The leftist mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, literally threw his own officers under the bus with his public utterances. Sharpton led a protest and told the crowd as did virtually all of his invited speakers, "No justice-no peace". Subsequently, Officers Liu and Rafael Ramos were shot dead by a man who made it clear his act was in revenge for Michael Brown and Eric Garner..
Even in the face of these two murders, the radical race baiters and their anarchist supporters are not letting up. They promise more protests and threats against cops continue nation-wide.
And if de Blasio thinks the anger of his police force has abated or blown over, he was reminded again Sunday that it hasn't. During the service for Liu, cops again turned their backs when the mayor spoke.

It is hardly bewildering that American cops are at their highest level of danger in memory. Those who have put them in this position with their irresponsible rhetoric may or may not enjoy freedom of speech, but their words mark them with shame. It should never be forgotten.
FBI Director James Comey is shocked at the high number of shootings at police. This is more kissing of the "O" backside. The FBI and Bureau of Justice Statistics keep great record of police incidents as will as information on the number of protests against police, slamming police by various politicians and media, in addition to who is doing the protesting.
ReplyDeleteAny good statistician could run a correlation between the shootings and violence against police and the number of incidents of bashing of police and find a statistically positive connection. But that statistician would then be audited by the IRS, monitored by the FBI and have numerous background checks done by the MSM. So, Comey would still be shocked.

According to the FBI, 461 felony suspects were shot and killed by U.S. police officers in 2013. Virtually all of these shootings were ruled justifiable.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund and other sources, 50 law enforcement officers (LEO's) were shot and killed in 2014. Additional LEO's were also intentionally killed in 2014 by stabbings, vehicular and other assaults, etc. Shooting deaths alone of LEO's have averaged 57 per year for the last 10 years.
As best as I can determine,
NONE, exactly zero, of these homicides of police officers were determined to be justifiable.
Addressing gun deaths only, then, by plugging these known values, as well as demographics/populations, into a little problem, it takes only very basic junior high math, if that, to quite easily determine that in any given year, an LEO is at least 45-50 times (4500%-5000%) more likely to be shot and killed by a civilian than a civilian is to be shot and killed by an LEO.
Looks like so much for cops stalking innocent young black men or anyone else, you think???
