Harry Anslinger to Be Commemorated at DEA Library

On October 15, there will be a commemoration of Harry Anslinger, the first head of a federal narcotics agency, which will be held at the DEA Museum. My former partner from my Bangkok days and still a close friend, Charles Lutz, is helping to organize the event and will be a speaker. Several members of Anslinger's family will be in attendance.

If you happen to be in the DC area this coming week, stop in, say hello to Charles, and tell them Fousesquawk sent you.

  1. The first federal narcotics agency was a mistake, but no doubt Anslinger did a professional job of enforcing the policy he was assigned to.
