Andrew McCarthy Reveals Who the Khorasan Group Really Is

Former federal prosecutor and terrorism expert Andrew McCarthy has written a fine piece in National Review, in which he reveals a dirty little secret. That Khorasan Group that sprang into the public consciousness only days ago is really......

"Hello!"

Al Qaeda-the group that we supposedly decimated. In addition, McCarthy sheds light on just who our Middle Eastern "allies" are really attacking from the air-and who they will not attack.

The lies never stop coming out of this administration.

Is it any wonder in a just-released poll that 70% of our active military do not want to go back and fight a ground war in Syria and Iraq? It is not because they are afraid. It is because they have zero trust in the current commander-in-chief. This is another example.

  1. Actually, 70 percent of active-duty military don't want to go back into Iraq and Syria because they know darn well that this is simply not a situation where the application of American military presence can have a net beneficial result, for the USA or the people of the region. In that, they are implicitly endorsing the thinking of their commander-in-chief, whether they are in a mood to admit it or not.

    Nice try Gary.

Hopefully everyone, including the president, will recognize that what American air power can do is make it difficult for ISIS to move substantial convoys across the landscape, and take out any tanks or heavy artillery they may be deploying. That's roughly why General Rommel told the Wehrmacht he couldn't keep a mobile reserve to respond to the expected Allied invasion of France. "The Allies control the air." They would destroy any force in motion. Only forces dug deep into bunkers and pill boxes would have a chance.

ISIS cannot succeed, dug into bunkers and pill boxes. But the fighting on the ground with the actual soldiers ISIS can field will have to be done by people with a claim to the land. If American forces move in, they become the issue.
