This movement in US universities to start an academic boycott of Israel is counter to everything a university is supposed to stand for. Sadly, it has even spread to my mother's alma mater, the University of North Carolina.

Next they will collect all books written by Israeli authors, start a big bonfire in front of the university, and throw all the books into it while waving their Palestinian, Hizbollah, and Hamas flags. Now wouldn't that be a truly historic statement?
