No Jew-Hatred in the Middle East, Professor?

Hat tip Campus Reform

This is truly astounding. On MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry's show, Professor Hillary Mann Leverett of American University says that anti-Semitism in the Middle East doesn't really exist.

Aside from the points made by Campus Watch, does this ignorant professor not know that Hitler's Mein Kampf is still a best seller in the Arab world? Does she know know that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is also widely popular and believed? Has she not seen the images of Jews portrayed in mainstream newspapers and TV shows in the West Bank, images reminiscent of Julius Streicher's Der Stuermer?

Is she not aware that most of the present-day anti-Semitism in Europe is driven by young Muslim males?

Has she not read the Hamas Charter, which is full of Islamic references to Jews including that dandy in section 7 about the day of judgement when the Jews will hide behind tress and the trees will call out to the Muslim, "Oh Muslim. There is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him"? That comes from the Islamic hadith.

Has she never read the Koran? Does she know anything about the life of the Prophet Mohammad? When you see those images of Arabs today chanting, "Khaybar, Khaybar, ah Yahud", that is a reference to the Khaybar incident during which Mohammed's army massacred hundreds of Jews in Khaybar. They are saying to the Jews that Mohammed's armies are returning.

Has she never watched the videos of the Islamic sermons coming out of the Middle East about killing the Jews? Has she never heard Yusuf al Qaradawi saying that the Holocaust was "God's punishment for the Jews"?

Has she ever heard of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al Husseini, the one who resided in Berlin during World War II?

And this woman is teaching in a university!!?? She sounds like she's been smoking her girdle.
