Ben Hueso (D), a California state senator from San Diego, has been busted for DUI after leaving a drinking party in the state capitol building.

Maybe they were also celebrating their recent bill to expand in-state tuition benefits to illegal aliens. The Republicans had tried to tack on a provision to that bill that would have included military personnel stationed in California, but California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D) nixed it. Here is the LA Times article, which termed the attempt by Republicans to include military personnel as a "hostile amendment".
