No sooner had John Kerry stated his need to go back to the Middle East then he was there to try and bring about a cease fire between Israel and the terrorists of Hamas.

And he is joined by none other than UN head Ban Ki Moon, who has already criticized Israel for its outrageous act of fighting back against Hamas.
Given Moon's comments, why should Israel allow him to dictate anything? Hopefully, the Egyptians will keep Kerry and Moon occupied with Nile River cruises and camel rides in Giza to take their minds off saving Hamas again.
Since John Kerry said on Meet the Press that Israel "has every right in the world to defend itself" from attacks by Hamas, I assume that Gary will denounce that statement as loony, since John Kerry said it.
