Saving Muslim Apostates and Christians. The International Media Has a Role

Meriam Ibrahim in prison with her newborn (Arab News)

Raymond Ibrahim, writing for CBN News, reports on the case of Sudanese Christian woman Meriam Ibrahim (no relation), who is under a death sentence in Sudan for refusing to renounce her Christian faith.

http://blogs.cbn.com/ibrahim/archive/2014/06/06/sudan-mother-tip-of-the-iceberg-on-islamic-persecution.aspx

Persecution of Christians, churches burning in Egypt, massacres by the hundreds in Nigeria, apostates under death sentences, gays being hanged in Iran, Iranian Baha'i rotting in prison, so-called blasphemers under death sentences in Pakistan, Jews murdered in Europe, hundreds being blown up by car bombs every day, Sunni killing Shia and vice versa, and all our media and political leaders in the West want to do is blindly believe what we are told by the apologists: This is all our imagination, acts done by a few extremists who are hijacking Islam and being exploited by hateful Islamophobes.

  1. Siarlys,

If it is scripture you want, I think you will find this illuminating.

  2. Don't be silly Gary. The statements cited are no more the Holy Qu'ran than the speeches of Rabbi Meir Kahane are the Torah.

  3. If I hadn't heard of them anywhere else, I would have heard of them here. Do you take the canons of the Roman Catholic Church to be true, binding, the Word of God, the faithful interpretation of Holy Scripture? Do you believe that the Bishop of Rome is Christ's Vicar on Earth?

Those who accept various hadith do so despite the fact that many directly contradict the Holy Qu'ran.

Next question? The most authoritative compilation was written two centuries after Muhammed died. I would bet that like Christian documents centuries after Jesus, the hadith are no more and no less than the efforts of self-interested individuals to bend the arc of Muslim to their own personal prejudices.

As we know from Christian, Jewish, and Buddhist history that can be done, with horrendous results. But its not the genuine article.
