Richard Silverstein's Sick (and Revised) Take on Brussels

Seattle-based blogger and hater of all things Israel, Richard Silverstein, is hard at work trying to place blame for the Brussels Jewish Museum attack on Israel. Before Mehdi Nemmouche was arrested in Marseilles, Silverstein was spreading a rumor from his "secret source" in Israel that the real targets of the attack might be two Mossad agents (who were among the dead) and that this could be retaliation for all the assassinations that Mossad carries out around the world, blah blah blah, woof woof woof, quack quack quack.

Of course, Richard had eggs benedict on his face when it turned to be what most of us guessed all along; it was a French-born Muslim jihadist who had recently returned from Syria and wanted to "bring blood and fire to Brussels".

So now here is Richard's revised take on the tragedy. A poor, disaffected boy who lashed out at Israel because of all the horrible things that Israel is doing to Palestinians. Furthermore, Silverstein claims that the problem of anti-Semitism in Europe is overblown and no more serious than Islamophobia. And in the background, the nefarious Mr Netanyahu prepared to use this to further his own evil agenda.

"Mr. Nemmouche was born in Roubaix, an impoverished industrial city in northeastern France near the border with Belgium…
"A former lawyer for Mr. Nemmouche, Soulifa Badaoui, said that he had been moved “from foster home to foster home” as a child, and became homeless at age 17."
“He was not a young man anchored in crime,” Ms. Badaoui told the French television station BFMTV. “He was a young man with difficulties of a personal sort,” she said, but also “endearing,” “respectful” and “sharp-minded.”
"These new developments will dovetail nicely with Bibi Netanyahu’s racist, Islamophobic agenda which proclaims the Muslims of the world (specially those in his neck of the woods) to be terrorists bent on destroying Israel first, and western civilization next.  It allows him to paint Israel, like the Christians who confronted the Ottoman Turks in the Battle of Vienna, as the last line of defense against the onrushing Islamist horde."
"The media stampede in the form ofblaring headlines trumpeting a resurgence of European anti-Semitism and a flood of Jewish refugees seeking safety in the Jewish homeland is not only misleading, it’s downright wrong.  There is no serious resurgence of anti-Semitism.  There are pockets of European Muslims who’re exploited and driven to hate by their masters who harvest the lessons learned by Israeli outrages in Occupied Palestine."

Well, enough of the excerpts. Read it for yourself. I have sent in my comment, which Richard will never post, but copied it before submitting. It is below the link.

"Great spin, Richard. That poor disaffected boy and nasty old Israel and Netanyahu. You bought into that Mossad story and wound up with egg on your face when it turned out to be a Jew-hating Muslim jihadist. You are so twisted with your hatred of Israel that you refuse to recognize the rampant anti-Semitism going on in the European Muslim communities. You have aligned yourself with those who not only want to wipe out Israel, but would kill every last Jew if they could-even if Israel disappeared tomorrow. And it's not just about Israel. They learned this Jew hatred as they grew up."
