Oh No! Yet Another Israel-Bashing Event at UCLA

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

And they called it a debate!

Eric Golub is a courageous young Jewish man I met a few years ago when we showed up with pro-Israeli posters to counter an anti-Israel protest by the local Palestinian mob in Westwood. Eric also occasionally attends anti-Israel events at UCLA put on by the pro-Palestinian mad hatters and writes reports on them. At one such event a few years ago, one of the Arabs masquerading as professors threw an anti-Jewish slur at him. Here is Eric's latest report for Frontpage Magazine as he once again ventured into unfriendly territory at UCLA to document the nuttery and indoctrination that passes for education in Westwood Village. The event on April 10 was advertised as

“The Settler Colonial Paradigm: Debating Gershon Shafir’s ‘Land, Labor and the Origins of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict’ on its 25th Anniversary,”  (Emphasis mine)

"Next up was Beshara Doumani, director of Middle East studies at Brown University, who coupled harsh criticism of Israel with environmental tropes. After accusing Israel of ethnic cleansing and genocide, he suddenly lamented that “climate change is creating new forms of displacement,” although, he added, the “consequences are not clear.”

(Indeed)

Someone should explain the meaning of debate to these "learned professors". It means someone is there on the panel to argue the other side.

"Is anybody here pro-Israel?"

"Not I."

"Not I."

"Not I."

"Not I."

"Good. Then let's get on with the debate."
