Fighting Anti-Semitism at UCLA and Los Angeles

The below report is from my friends at the AMCHA Initiative. It concerns a meeting with UCLA Chancellor Gene Block and an LA City Council resolution on bullying and harassment on school campuses. There is a link where you can e-mail Block urging him to investigate the brown shirt (my words) tactics of the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at UCLA. My own message to Block in on the way.

Update:  Here it is:

Dear Chancellor Bloch,

I am writing to urge you to act upon the recommendation of the AMCHA Initiative
to investigate and if appropriate, sanction the Students for Justice in
Palestine chapter at UCLA.

I have been following the activities of the SJP nationally for a few years now.
In my view, they engage in bullying and intimidation tactics against Jewish
students and supporters of Israel-tactics that are reminiscent of the brown
shirts in the 1930s.

Anti-Semitism is resurgent around the world and even here in the US and Canada.
The focal point is on our university campuses. The recent activities of the SJP
at UCLA has given your university a black eye just as they have done at other
universities. It is time that University of California administrators stand up
to this type of activity which has no place on university campuses.

Thank you for your attention.
