Interfaith Meetings Oakland Style

Hat tip Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers

"Working together to destroy the Jewish state of Israel"

Here is a classic example of an inter-faith activity in Oakland. This meeting happened on May 1.

This event happened at the First Presbyterian Church of Oakland. Not surprising since the Presbyterian Church USA is openly pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel. Let's take a look at some of the participants.

Rev. Phil Lawson

Lawson is a life-long activist who preaches non-violence. It seems his most recent efforts have been trying to walk a line with the Occupant Oakland Movement.

And what could be more non-violent than Occupy Oakland? (It appears they don't listen much to Rev. Lawson.)

Then we have two rabbis who support the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement against Israel, Rabbi Alissa Wise and Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb, the latter of whom is affiliated with none other than Jewish Voice for Peace.

As yet, I don't know anything about Pastor John Anderson. He has common name, so I am still searching. Maybe he is just a non-entity.

I know a lot about UC Berkeley professor Hatem Bazian, however. It puzzles me how two Jewish rabbis could participate in anything with this guy since his ambition is to see the Jewish state of Israel destroyed, but these are not your normal Jewish rabbis, are they?

At any rate, I wonder if Rabbis Gottlieb and Wise asked Bazian about certain remarks that have been attributed to him over the years.

I'll bet they didn't.
