Here is what is known about the schedule of events for the Muslim Student Union's week of Israel bashing at UC Irvine next week courtesy of the Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism.

At this point it appears that there may be no outside speakers coming this year. Could this be the death rattle of a dying movement at UCI? If they don't have any speakers, I could volunteer my services. There is much to be said about the topics they apparently want to present.

Tuesday: BDS
Wednesday: Sexual Violence
Thursday: Environmental Degradation

Borders and racism

Can we include religious hatred in that? So much to talk about-so little time. The fact is that from one end of the Islamic world to the other, religious minorities are being persecuted, raped, murdered and their places of worship burned. Borders? How about Syria, where some 10,000 foreign fighters have poured in to join the jihad? What does this have to do with Israel, where the rights of religious minorities are protected-including Muslims ?

Ah yes, just what every college wants to hear about as if they have not heard enough. Pass all the resolutions you want, kiddies after all those all-nighters at the student government. The university will ignore them. Play it again, Sam.

Sexual violence

Indeed. I expect to hear much about the rape epidemic in Western European countries not to mention the sexual grooming of teenage British girls. Shall we name names?  I have no idea what it has to do with Israel.

Environmental degradation

Well, what degrades the environment more than suicide bombs going off all over the place? Again, I don't know what that has to do with Israel.

At least we can all come out and see the newly-refurbished Apartheid Wall, courtesy of that great community bridge builder, Imam Muzammil Siddiqi of the Islamic Society of Orange County, who is lending out his space for the necessary repairs.
