Medea Benjamin, Code Pink and Caperpiller

Hat tip Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers

For those of you familiar with the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement against Israel, you know that one company that is a big target is Caterpillar. Not only do they do business with Israel, but they were sued by the parents of Rachel Corrie, an American activist who got caught up with the International Solidarity Movement and was killed in 2003 when she was run over by an Israeli caterpillar she was trying to block from demolishing a terrorist house in Gaza. The parents, represented by now-UC Irvine Law School dean Erwin Chemerinsky, sued Caterpillar in a US court. They should have sued the ISM.

The suit was so frivolous it was dismissed and that dismissal was even upheld by the uber-liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

But I digress.

This week, Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers ran a story that none other than wealthy Code Pink  president Medea Benjamin, who is also front and center in the BDS movement, was a share holder in Caterpillar

"But we can explain everything," say Medea's supporters. (Not quite)

  2. To avoid stating the obvious about the BDS, etc. it takes a lot of guile, deception, and chutzpah to be simultaneously in the Occupy Movement while you are a One Percenter yourself... a lot.

It also seems to be that a good profit can be made promoting BD, whether or not you care one way or another.

BDS happens just behind Global Warming as large scale hoaxes. BDS seems to attract frauds who are able to capitalize on sophomoric student embrace of causes, anti-Semites, and an uninformed public.
