UPenn Muslim Law Student Conference

A week ago, there was an event held at the University of Pennsylvania law school. It was the 8th annual Muslim Law Students Conference. The theme was "justice", that oft-abused word. The event was attended by Lance Silver and Andrew Palashewsky of Tundra Tabloids (a Finnish-based site linked here at Fousesquawk). They wrote the below critical report on the speakers along with their own responses.

There is a lot of detail from the writers and many links to their references. I agree with many of their comments, but would have to do some research as to others. As I often do, I invite my Muslim readers to comment. There is a lot there for discussion. I really would like to stimulate a discussion on the connection between Islamic law (shariah) and American principles of justice.
