Media Silence on Malaysian Captain's Link to Anwar Ibrahim

The Daily Mail (UK) is reporting that the captain of  Malaysian Airlines 370 received a phone call prior to the ill-fated flight from a mystery woman using a cell phone bought with a phony ID. They report further that the Malaysian police are now (after 2 weeks) planning to interview the pilot's wife.

Six days ago, we posted this item about the curious allegiance of pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah to Malaysian opposition figure Anwar Ibrahim with links to reports by Discover the Networks claiming that Ibrahim was a follower of the Muslim Brotherhood ideology of Sayyid Qutb and Jamaat e Islami founder Maulana Maududi. In addition, Ibrahim is reported to be the co-founder of a Virgina-based International Institute of Islamic Thought, reported by DtN  to be a Muslim Brotherhood front group.

None of this is to charge that Shah is the culprit in the disappearance of the plane though he and his co-pilot are the focus of attention in the investigation. None of this is to charge that Anwar Ibrahim has anything to do with it. However, if the Malaysians are correct that this was a deliberate act to divert the plane, an act which originated in the cockpit (which international investigators seem to agree with)...

and if, Shah attended a court hearing for Ibrahim on the day of the flight wearing a shirt that read, "Democracy is dead"......

and if Ibrahim is a devotee of Sayyid Qutb and Maulana Maududi and the co-founder of an institute in the US identified as a Muslim Brotherhood front......

Why is nobody in the media even speculating about this? It is not conclusive evidence by any means, but if the cable news networks are going to put on a psychic to tell  viewers what she thinks and ex- General Thomas McInerny to suggest that the plane is in Pakistan according to his sources, etc.

Why not this?

Are the appropriate investigators looking into this connection? Surely they are, but they don't have to reveal it at this time. Come to think of it, either does our media. They tell us what they want to tell us.

  5. Yes Gary, it seems it doesn't take much.

Choosing between you and the psychic is like choosing between Mussolini or Petain. No implication intended as to who is which, or even that either of you are individually analogous to either one. Its just... no choice at all.

Terrorism? Well, someone wanted to commit suicide. Could have been merely psycho. No demands, no crowing.
